Berries and Booze from Rachael Ray

What do you get when you put mixed berries, sugar, cream, a few other "secret" ingredients and a couple of generous shots of your favorite liqueur together? Boozy berries, courtesy of Rachael Ray.

Perfect as a biscuit topping or (I'd imagine) as an alternative to the standy strawberries usually found atop shortcake, these adult-beverage enhanced berries sound like a rich, yet fresh, treat.

ABC offers the recipe. Rachael finds her way on to Good Morning America from time to time, after all.

If you're looking for an excuse to bust out the ameretto while making a dessert, here's your chance!

Re Hot Rachael Ray's Ridiculous Ratings

That's "ridiculous" in a good way... And how about all of that alliteration!

Anyway, Broadcast & Cable recently noted that super-cool Rachael Ray's new talk show didn't just pull down good ratings... It rocked the house. Not since Dr. Phil hit the air in '03 has any new talk show had numbers like hers.

Her stats keep pushing upward and the February sweeps numbers were Yumm-o!

And just think...Some people thought the talk show and magazine rollouts would oversaturate the market with Rachael Ray! It seems like there's no limit to her popularity right now.

Poughkeepsie Loves Rachael Ray

The newspaper in Poughkeepsie published some comments about the one and only Rachael Ray that were emailed by readers. Not surprisingly, our favorite Food Channel and talk show superstar received rave reviews...

Excerpt:

"— I watch Rachael Ray. It's nice to see a woman who actually likes to be in a kitchen. Just kidding. Well, then again ...

- Darryl Bielski, Poughkeepsie

— My family and I truly enjoy her cooking shows and recipes. This includes my husband who is our "chef" in the family.

She is cheerful and humorous and such a breath of fresh air among the numerous cooking celebs already on television.

How dare Martha Stewart voice such a negative review of Rachael. She can learn a few tips on sprucing up her own personality.

Looking forward to more information on the opening of Rachael Ray's new New York City restaurant.

- Susan Militello, Hopewell Junction"

The Beauty of Rachael Ray...

First, let me issue a few apologies...

I'm sorry I littered the blog posts with ads for awhile (see: "Gold" below). That was an error in judgment.

I'm sorry I've neglected the blog for awhile. Things have been crazy. I'll try to do better.

I'm sorry I didn't just put this big ol'd picture of the Beautiful and Talented Ms. Rachael Ray right up here on the blog earlier...

Feast your eyes on THIS!
Absolutely stunning, and I'm not one to compliment other women all the time, either!

Yummo.
