Steak ala Rachael Ray... Great Recipe...

No, the picture isn't really of the recipe. It's just a shot of some steaks grilling. The final product from the Rachael Ray recipe in question is far more attractive.

Back when Rachael was about to launch her new television talk show (which, by the way, has been kicking mucho butto), her PR people decided to help the cause by distributing a recipe to various affiliate stations that they could put up on their sites.

The recipe is for:

Grilled Flank Steak with Grilled Red Onions and Asparagus and Garlicky Grilled Croutons

You can read the whole thing, here, which I heartily recommend!

By the way, those Garlicky Grilled Croutons are probably on the list of 5 Best Things in the History of the World among those who have tasted them. Yummo! Yummo! And that is an understatement!

Rachael Ray Wallpaper Available!

If you still have that stupid landscape that was set as your PC's desktop the day you took it home in place, you are long overdue for a switch. To be honest, you should probably consider switching to a new wallpaper no matter what you are currently sporting, because I have uncovered THREE spectacular Rachael Ray wallpapers that will give your computer a great new look.

Two of them are based on photos from the infamous Rachael Ray FHM photo shoot. The other one features Rachael looking stunning green. That's the one I am currently using. She looks good enough to eat! Well, not like THAT... You know what I mean!

Anyway, if you want to add the joy of looking right at Rachael Ray to your desktop, tarry not! Hit this link and get a new backdrop immediately!

New internet marketing blog announced...

Well, you don't spend ALL of your time reading about Rachael Ray, right? Somewhere along the line you probably do a little investigation about ways to make money on the internet. If you are like me and a lot of other people, the world of internet marketing seems very attractive.

A new blog is up and running that focuses completely on internet marketing. Netresults, which is operated by the respected people at USWeb, is here!

They are going to cover things like search engine marketing, web development, advertising for the IM industry, and how to make this Web 2.0 transition work to the advantage of marketers.

Not a bad menu, eh? The people at USWeb who are backing this project are widely recognized as search engine marketing wizards and they seem to have the Midas touch when it comes to new projects. I'd consider making NetResults a bookmarked stop if you have any interested in making more money online! It could end up being the best internet marketing blog out there.

Quoting Rachael Ray...

Rachael Ray is so quotable that she's making an appearance on one of those incredibly fun quote sites that are all over the internets. Logan.ws currently features three funny quotations from the Food Network mega-chef turned tv talkshow star.

I don't want to steal any thunder, so you will have to check out the page to read the three funnies.

All of them come from tapings of her new television show. That's not true. I just looked again and one of them comes from the launch party for her magazine.

All I can say is that if they keep track of Rachael Ray's mouths, they will eventually have a whole site devoted to her comments. It seems like she has at least one memorable witticism per episode of ALL of the shows in which she is involved.

By the way, none of the quotations mention Yummo or EVOO in them.

You can read the funny Rachael Ray quotes right here. Enjoy them, have a good laugh, and come back for more great RaRay news and notes!

Crystal sues over Rachael Ray's "Inside Dish"

A radio host named Ross Crystal claims to have pitched the idea of a celebrity cooking show like "Inside Dish" to the Food Network six years ago. According to Crystal, the channel turned down the idea, claiming that similar past efforts had failed.

Now, Rachael Ray has a big hit on her hands with "Inside Dish" and Crystal feels more than a little slighted over the whole affair. That's why the Food Network is getting sued over the whole deal.

Rachel Ray, in case you were worried, isn't named as a respondent in the lawsuit. Apparently Crystal's gripes (real or imagined) are with the network, not the star.

You can read more about it here. Of course, this source article contains the obligatory Rachael Ray FHM picture. I am beginning to think the NYT will run one of those with her obituary some day, even if she cures cancer at some point in her life. People are addicted to illustrating RaRay stories with those shots.

Thinking about link popularity.

Search engines put a lot of stock in link popularity. If you have a lot of people linking to your website, you can be certain that you will be rewarded with good search engine placement for the terms relevant to your website. That’s important, because search engines are the number one way to get massive traffic flows. If you want customers, you need that traffic.

So, how do you get the links? You could try to trade links back and forth with other sites, but how annoying would that be? Talk about inefficient! You could try to write the next irresistible piece of link bait in order to convince people to link to you on their own accord, but that is much harder than it sounds and is hit or miss at best.

There is another option. Blogitive, for instance, will take information about your site and give it to a massive cadre of bloggers who will then write about you and link back to you. The search engines will definitely take notice of those inbound links and you will finally see your site creeping up the search engine results to the point where you can finally get the traffic you need to succeed.

Village Voice Uppity Over Rachael Ray Love...

The folks at the Village Voice just can't handle the fact that some people really do dig Rachael Ray. The uber-trendy mag laments the compliments and appreciation reserved for the Food Network mega-star. In a supreme moment of irony, they claim that loving on Rachel Ray is the trendy thing to do.

The article isn't long, but it is relatively annoying. The comments that follow aren't, by and large, particularly enlightening, either.

Excerpt:

"You see, the world is divided into two kinds of people: formally trained food snobs who hate burgers and regular, hard-working, busy people who only have time to eat piles of ground turkey and melted cheese for dinner every night."

The way I see it, if you get The Voice griping about your popularity, you are probably doing something right. Go Rachael! Take a look at the article in question right here.

Oh, and not so surprisingly, they felt the need to dig out one of those sexy FHM pictures to illustrate the piece. YAWN.

Rachael Ray miffs Martha Stewart...

Rachael Ray had a taped visit from Barry Manilow in the can, and was going to use it on an upcoming episode. Then, the folks at Ray's new TV show discovered that Manilow was appearing live on Martha Stewart's show.

So, what did they do? They decided to run the taped visit from Manilow at the same time the singer was doing his thing live with Martha. They didn't want to lose audiences to America's favorite felon/homemaking expert, apparently.

Dirty trick? Maybe. Well, Martha sure thought so.

She said:

"I'd never met Rachael Ray -- I think she's fun and lovely -- but, you know, we have Barry Manilow live this morning, and he taped an episode of the Rachael Ray show that was supposed to air tomorrow. But for some reason, they pushed the show up to today, and now Barry is on two shows at once. He's live with us, but it's really not fair to the artist because these performers deserve to reach as big of an audience as possible. But anyway, we have him here. Live."

Yeah, Martha hates unfair things. Like using inside information to profit on stock deals in violation of federal law and running Barry Manilow's crooning opposite of his appearance on her show. Whatever.

Online Degree Seeking...

Almost all of us, at one time or another, have reflected on just how nice it would be to have an additional degree, to complete a graduate study course or to finally wrap up the bachelors program we never quite finished. Education has intrinsic value and it can help one to scoot up the pay ranks in the corporate world. It's eye-catching resume and job application candy and provides the kind of skills the higher-ups are looking for when they need to groom management material.

Unfortunately, the idea of enrolling in a traditional college and attending classes on an inflexible schedule at an inflated price usually stops us from following through with the plan. The hassles are too great and we just sit on our hands, wishing instead of acting.

Capella University provides an alternative. This Higher Learning Commission-accredited college has been providing great distance learning and online degree options in a host of fields for over a decade. Whether you want to grab a business degree online, complete some kind of specialized certification or wrap up a four year degree program, Capella can help. This industry leader boasts a total enrollment of over 16K students and offers over 75 degree programs. You can find Capella University online or you can give them a ring, toll free, at 888-CAPELLA.

Not-quite naked, but as close as you'll get...Wardrobe malfunction gives viewers and eyeful of Rachael Ray's "goodies"...

The quest for naked pictures of Rachael Ray continues each and every day, though none exist. Millions slobber over the pics Rachael took for FHM once upon a time while others continue to mine the internet for photographic evidence of her nudity.

I suppose that's bound to happen when you are an uber-star like Ms. Rachel Ray. In many cases, the diggers find what they're looking for. The demand leads someone from the target's past to release a candid nudie shot of some sort. Either that, or the paparazzi catches the celeb sunning topless somewhere and the photos make the Enquirer.

If you are looking for naked pics of Rachael Ray, I may have found something you'll find interesting. It isn't quite an all-out centerfold spread, but it is the closest thing this side of spoon licking at FHM to Rachael in the flesh.

It's what the obsessive picture hunters call a nip slip. I think you know what I mean. And you can see it it here. I can't vouch for its authenticity, but it looks like the real deal. And I am SURE it will be appealing to a large segment of those who come by this blog with an interest in revealing pics than in 30 minute meals.

Nothing to argue with re: this Rachael Ray post...

The Nothing Blog. You might assume you'd find very little there, based on the name. You'd be wrong.

Take, for instance, this wonderful post about watching and enjoying cooking programs on television. Looks like the author enjoys Rachael Ray. Here's an excerpt:

"Fast forward to three weeks ago, I was on total nostalgic mode every afternoon. I would always make excuses to go home before three to catch 30 Minute Meals with Rachael Ray. Yes, I love her cooking and her babbling every time she cooks; heck, I even use her catchphrases every so often (my most used catchphrase so far is “Yum-O!”). She’s really contagious. And, same as my toddler years, whenever she wraps up her show I always feel satisfied. It’s like I ate her 30-minute meal even though my insides are grumbling for some grub."

A fine post to read and it features a great picture of a smiling, gorgeous Rachel Ray. Check it out!

A day without wine...

I don't know a lot about wine, but I am learning. Although the guy at our closest wine-selling liquor store is helpful, I prefer to search out the best possible advice from qualified sources who aren't just interested in making a sale.

And, since Rachael Ray is not yet hosting a talk show featuring non-stop interviews with somaliers and wine enthusiasts, I am using the web to learn more about the fermented fruit of the vine.

Whether you're looking for a Wine Tour in Temecula or an idea of how long you should chill that white before popping the cork, there are qualified online resources available to help.

I used to think that learning about wine was sort of intimidating. You know, it seemed like sort of "elitist" territory for someone like me who is preoccupied with churning out Rachael Ray's 30 minute meals. Really, though, it isn't. There is a lot to learn about wine, but the net makes it pretty simple to go from ignorant to well-informed. A site like Keywayswinery.com, for instance, will serve up a variety of interesting tidbits for me.
