A New York Daily News article seems to attribute much of the Food Network's success to their comely hosts! Sex appeal may be playing a part in the cable channel's popularity. If it is, Rachael Ray (she of FHM) is definitely one reason why.
The article is worth reading if you are a Food Network fan. Here is an excerpt:
'Ray is a 37-year-old wholesome hottie who has become the face — and body — of the Food Network. The author of 11 books and namesake of a new magazine has also posed in skimpy shorts for FHM."
Oh, and it also mentions the fact that Ray's new talk show is wowing syndicators. Sounds like Rachael has another hit in her immediate future.

I want to know how someone can be a "wholesome hottie". Those words just don't go together and the way she posed in FHM was in no way wholesome. It was rather scary, actually. I think I have RR overload. She needs to give ppl a break and back off a little.
